Zusammenfassung
Die FAIR – Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbH in Darmstadt beschafft einen schaltbaren Beam Dump, also einen Strahlfänger zur sicheren Aufnahme eines Teilchenstrahls, einschließlich Vakuumkammer. Der Auftrag umfasst die Prüfung der Fertigungsunterlagen, Herstellung, Montage, Tests und Lieferung im Rahmen einer vorgegebenen Konstruktion; die vorgesehene Dauer beträgt 270 Tage. Teilnahmeanträge müssen bis zum 29. September 2026, 10:00 Uhr, eingereicht werden.

Switchable Beam Dump incl. vacuum chamber
Qualifikation
FAIR reserves the right to make a one-off additional request for documents within a period to be specified in the additional request letter in accordance with § 56 VgV. However, applicants cannot rely on a subsequent request. Ultimately incomplete requests to participate will be excluded (§ 57 Para. 1 No. 2, Para. 3 VgV).

1 LosThe procurement covers the manufacturing review, fabrication, assembly, testing and delivery of a switchable beam dump as a build-to-print supply. The beam dump is a component relevant to radiation and personnel protection and is intended to safely absorb the particle beam. The Company will provide the approved manufacturing documentation. The Contractor shall review this documentation during the Manufacturing Design Review (MDR) and may propose justified changes for Company approval. The scope includes the mechanical and vacuum components, drive system, sensors, controls, documentation, Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT). An external frame for removing and reinstalling the chamber shall be offered as a separate option. Furthermore, the installation of the chamber using the external frame at the final location on Contractor site shall also be offered as a separate option.
